I saw a few moments of Tales From the Darkside early in the morning. The story was about a bratty kid. It ends with the Mom telling her to put on the new swimsuit that she was crying about. We then see the mother filling the inner tube with sand! And the little girl in looking at her reflection in the mirror filling up with water and the voice telling her “goodbye”

That is some hardcore 19^th century fairytelling. Be a brat and your Mommy murders you. I am surprised that show lasted as long as it did.
